    Hi, my name is Deborah Leaverton. I’m a wife and mom, I homeschool my children, teach private piano lessons, and have been an entrepreneur for the past 9 years. I’ve always been interested in health and fitness, and in my 20’s, my interest became a passion as I started experiencing increasingly bad health and weight gain. My interest began early as my parents were also interested in natural health remedies, some of which was fueled by their own health struggles. Even though they never found much success for their chronic health problems, it put a desire in me to believe that there was that possibility that the body could indeed heal itself when taken care of properly. My parents ended up passing away at what I consider to be very young ages, and within 3 years of each other. Of course a loss like that is devastating, but the good thing it did for me was that it started waking me up to the fact that I was on the same path they had gone down. Even though the thought was in the back of my mind that I should be taking care of myself, it did take a while for the burden of grief to lift enough that I even had the desire to try looking after myself. My mom was 59 when she passed away from complications of diabetes, kidney failure, and congestive heart failure. My dad died at 65 from a massive heart attack. It hurts me to think that I now have information that could have helped them, but my focus is now on the fact that I have helped myself overcome most of my health struggles, and that is a gift to my husband, children, future grandchildren, and hopefully my gift for you too! I’ve had many failures as I’ve tried to deal with the health problems that I’ve faced the past 15 years. My list includes severe fatigue, low blood sugar, chronic debilitating migraines, weight gain, depression, a lot of stomach and gallbladder problems, panic attacks, and the list goes on. Many of my failures were because of my focus on trying to treat the symptoms instead of finding the causes. For the past year and a half, I’ve had a great amount of success in dealing with my health problems naturally and have been losing weight — and keeping it off too! That really excites me, and I will be sharing my successes and failures with you on this blog.[/text_block]
